Hey ninepin family,
Today was a big step forward for Project Kegel — the transparent, community-powered initiative to create a modern 6-lane ninepin bowling sports centre blueprint that anyone in the world can copy and build.
After weeks of planning and back-and-forth refinement, we made real progress turning the vision from a single blog post into active, executable pieces. Here’s the quick recap of what happened today:
I prepared a thorough, welcoming call-to-action text specifically for the ninepin community. It targets:
- Top players, coaches, club operators, and tournament folks who live and breathe the sport
- Professionals in architecture, construction, sustainability, finance, marketing, law, and accessibility
The text clearly explains:
- Realistic commitment (2–4 hours/month, flexible Discord/Zoom input)
- Influence on the final design and global replication kit
- Founder veto on core vision (with public rationale) for protection after 25+ years in ninepin
- Perks: public credit, networking with legends across Europe, legacy impact

We revisited and locked in the current layout:

Infrastructure Wins & Next Actions
- GitHub repo is live — I provided a full README.md draft with vision, principles, spec, governance, roadmap, and calls to action. Just needs to be pasted in (plus a CC0 license file).
- Discord server is up and joinable — ready for discussions, town halls, and plot brainstorming.
- Open Collective – ETA in the next few days — founder seed €200 incoming, plus monthly €200–300 commitment. Co-admin invite sent. Open Collective operates through a fiscal host an organization that welcomes others to operate through their structure, so projects can use the host’s legal entity and bank account instead of setting up their own. The host provides administrative services, oversight, and support. *Fiscal hosting is also called fiscal sponsorship, fund-holding, or auspicing in different places around the world. Just another step ensuring full transparency.
- Socials (@project.kegel on Instagram/TikTok, @ProjectKegel on X) are active — announcement post with links planned for tomorrow.
- First town hall targeted for mid-March.
Quick Reality Check & Why This Matters
We’re still in bootstrap phase: no big money yet, no plot leads, spolek registration targeted March–April (need 2–3 co-founders). But the foundation is solid — radical transparency via OC/GitHub/Discord, founder skin in the game, and clear rules to prevent fraud or capture.
This isn’t hype. It’s daily execution toward a landmark ninepin centre that preserves our sport’s heritage while making it accessible and sustainable for the next generations.
