The Idea
This project has been in my mind for two and a half decades at least. The idea is simple. Record all the steps leading from the idea to the execution to show everyone how to build their own ninepin bowling alley.
Quickly About Me
My name is Bostjan Pen and my ninepins journey started back in 1992 when I first stepped on the lanes of KK Triglav in Kranj, Slovenia. The atmosphere and the friendship our trainer Janez Luzan build, has drawn me to the sport and today, at the time of the writing, I count my 34 season and still actevly playing.
Through the sport and the guidance of our trainer I’ve gain friends for life, valuable life lessons and I’ve decided long time ago, I want to continue the heritage with the younger generations.
The Approach
Ninepin community is big and I believe there are many like me, who would like to own their own sport center and give the ninepin community something back. There is a big difference between the idea and the actual project being brought to an end, so I’ve spend the last ten plus years of my life involved in renovations, project management, real estate and of course the sport itself.
The most important aspect of every project is to ensure the funding and the team working on it. So I decided to invite the whole ninepin community to get involved in it. Think of as a multidisciplinary team of talents working on a same goal.
